"13", as we all know, is the ucky number for all musicians on the road. So what would be natural than to rock a hellufa night with a total number of 13 rockers. But not enough: one of the involved bands even went by the name of "13 Stone". But let's go back to the beginning...

On April 5th, 2011 we had the "Blue Shell" in our "D.O.E. on tour" calendar. Upon request by the management of UK-based band Counterpoint ( from London, yours truly and 13 Stone ( from Siegburg rocked the house along with the main act. Since you can't rock with an empty stomach, step 1 on the agenda was a traditional, balanced and healthy meal: chips, doner & falafel - that's how we roll.

Well, had we known the size of the stage inside, we'd probably skipped dinner, it was pretty tight. But as a tight space entails a tight show, everything went well. Kicking off thegig as the first opener, we cut our set short:

Intro (short version)
Afraid To Breathe
Rock 'N' Roll Moon
Walking Away
Seven Sins
Smalltown Boy
Things Inside

after we got the crowd warmed up, Counterpoint really turned the heat on: heavy riffs and a great show, what a mix! Last but not least 13 Stone closed the evening with their set between "Blues, Rock and Garage".

While the set was over now, the evening wasn't. Accompanied by various bottles with various contents, handsigned DOE-CDs changed hands and the bands could exchange the one tour story or the other. Counterpoint as a hardcore-touring band hat loads of them, we obviously currently have some release-related stories, right?

All in all a great night - and we want more of that!

Alright then, until next time - BE THERE!!!
